Who assigns tasks to the developers within the Development Team?

The Development Team is responsible for assigning tasks among themselves as part of the self-organizing principles laid out in Scrum. This allows team members to collaborate, leverage each other's strengths, and make collective decisions about the work that needs to be done. In this environment, the Developers determine how to best accomplish the work that is needed to meet the Sprint goals.
